I have been aware and connected to environmental threats (since 1987) . . . and more recently, I guess, opportunities, an example being the National Forest, where I live. In fact I am very proud to say that I planted some of the first trees back in 1992/1993.

Essentially, I am just a regular working guy, with (and I am privileged here) family, house, dog . . . but because of an earlier radical perspective, have been having a go at a lot of 'eco friendly' actions, for a long time (way before fashion or latest crisis).

So, I know it can be done, together- and I am encouraged (in the main) by the 'new' green awareness and feel the time now is (has to be) right for deep and sustained changes to lifestyles, habits and expectations. No going back, just because the price of vehicle fuel etc.. nudges in a downward direction from time to time - change is here to stay.
