We began in 2002 towards what was then labeled 'simplistic living' lifestyle. In 2003, Iraq invasion/occupation with two in our family deploying to Iraq absorbed my interests in other directions. In 2007, after four years of Iraq war, and no end in sight, it is not possible to sustain the kind of intensity I have given this past four years in trying to be an influence to bring an end to the war and bring our troops home. There is a direct correlation between climate crisis and consumerism use of energy; fossil fuels. It is a natural extension in logic for me to work towards both ends since they are intertwined.
