Usually, we define ourselves as what we do for a living - so I will do this too! well... currently I am under-employed. I am working my darndest to apply my "socially conscious" degree from Antioch University in the real world. I also hold a degree in chemistry and have worked in labs where I've analyzed 1000's of soil, water and air samples for a plethora of toxics. I also had a good stint working for a major software company (Seattle in the 90's) as a technical consultant, focusing on selling into the large behemoth we call corporate America as a systems engineer. As I seek more gainful full-time employment, I am pursuing creating a environmental management consulting practice. I am convinced that a business doing good enviromental management, using international standard guidelines, and really honestly buying into good citizenship (global and local) will make the critical difference in our survival. Its just people working at these corporations, just you and me, who want the best for our kids and for our communities. How can we form strong business/gov't/community partnerships, which I believe is the key to our mitigating global climate change and the overuse (o.k. - abuse) of our resources. Its just people!

My interests range from public participation and community engagement, alternative energy solutions, organic gardening (everyone should own a worm bin), environmental chemistry and science, issues around toxics, organizational development and environmental management. I like to give time to local non-profits, there's no money in it, but its nice to be appreciated :-)
