Over 15-years of progressive environmental stewardship, leadership, and social & economic development experience in the Greater Puget Sound Region; serving public, private and non-profit organizations on initiatives designed to raise the self-esteem of disadvantage people, protect natural resources and the environment, and promote social equality through entrepreneurship.  Experience includes, but is not limited to the following initiatives, campaigns, programs and organizations:

 

·         WashPIRG, Field Canvasser, 1989.  Conducted public awareness and led field outreach campaigns in Eastern, WA to end usage of Alar from being sprayed on food crops.  Lobbied for passage of Motor Voter legislation.

 

·         Student Conservation Association (SCA), Program Manager, 1992-1994.  Administered National High School, Canada/USA Youth Exchange and Conservation Career Development Programs.  Programs designed to restore natural areas in National Parks and National Forests.

 

·         Environmental Careers Organization, Academic Relations Manager, 1995-1997.  Recruited 700+ college students for environmental protection and preservation internships with BLM, DOE, EPA, USDA and USGS.

 

·         City of Seattle, Teens for Recreation & Environmental Conservation (O2), Volunteer Supervisor, 1996-2006.  Taught wilderness first aid, outdoor and environmental education, and outdoor recreation.

 

·         Burton Chill Foundation, Volunteer Snowboard Instructor, 1996-2001.  Taught over 100 high school aged teens (some alter-abled) how to snowboard at Snoqualmie Pass.

 

·         Wilderness Medical Associates, Wilderness First Responder, 1996-1999.  Served as volunteer emergency medical and wilderness rescue practitioner.  Awarded Key to the City of Stillwater, MN for successful resuscitation of heart attack victim (20,000 feet above sea level).

 

·         Earthwork Seattle, Volunteer Recruiter, 1997-1999.  Recruited over 4000 volunteers to participate in Earth Day events and activities in the Greater Puget Sound Region.

 

·         Washington Wilderness Coalition, Road-less Campaign Hiking Guide, 1999-2002.  Led the public on wilderness site visits of North Cascade road-less areas in an effort to promote legislation to designate Wild Sky Wilderness.

 

·         Biodiversity Northwest, Board Trustee, 1999-2002.  Organization committed to saving the remaining groves of old-growth trees and promoting biodiversity in Washington.

 

·         Institute for Family Development (IFD), Board Member, 1999-2003.  Organization helps troubled families stay together through rigorous and intensive therapeutic interaction.

 

·         United Way Project LEAD, Program Graduate, 2000 – Program designed to train individuals how to become dynamic and effective non-profit board members.

 

·         Gifford Pinchot Task Force, Advisory Council Member, 2000-2001 – I-90 Land Exchange, Watch Mountain Campaign to prevent old growth trees from being logged near Morton, WA.

 

·         Washington Software Alliance (WSA), Marketing SIG Leader, 2001-2004.  Facilitated special interest group meetings to help emerging technology companies gain access to marketing solution to grow their respective businesses.

 

·         Alliance for Education, WASL Facilitator, 2002.  Facilitated community dialogues to help Seattle Public Schools gather citizen input on the design of high school graduation requirements in Washington.

 

·         City of Seattle, Step Toward Environmental Partnership, Lifeskills Instructor, 2002-2004.  Launched program to teach teens to environmental stewardship and relevant lifeskills.

 

·         Technology Access Foundation (TAF), Board Member, 2003-2006.   Increasing minority access to Science Technology Engineering & Math (STEM) from K-12.

 

·         Northwest Ecosystem Alliance, Grove Guardian Recipient, 2004.  Award for 10 years of dedicated advocacy protecting old growth trees and wildlife habitat in the Pacific Northwest.

 

·         Tabor100, Member, 2004 to Present.  Organization helps W/MOBE gain access to programs, tools, and resources needed to start, operate, and grow successful businesses.

 

·         Snowboard Outreach Society (SOS), Volunteer Snowboard Instructor, 2006 to Present.  Taught 40+ teens to snowboard.

 

·         Moontown Foundation, Founder, Chairman & CEO, 2006 to Present.  Initiative developed to help historically underprivileged communities successfully participant in the green and clean technology economy.
