Topics Education, an education outreach firm of which I am 1 of 3 partners, was selected in September 2006 to create a high school curriculum centered on Participant Productions’ DVD release of An Inconvenient Truth. I, was deeply involved in producing the nationally distributed lesson plans, which have had over 45,000 web downloads by teachers to date. My strong personal connection with the issue stems from the curriculum work we did surrounding the DVD release of An Inconvenient Truth along with the previous work we did with The Weather Channel, The Environmental Literacy Council, and The SciFi Channel. This work combined with my own study/preparation for AITo led me to become very passionate about environmental issues generally and global warming in particular. In fact, in Januray I was one of 200 people who joined Al Gore in the fight against global warming at a Nashville, TN training session (session five). The session was designed to teach participants how to deliver Gore’s important message about global warming, using the slideshow Mr. Gore uses in the film. Currently, there are approximately 900 ambassadors of the presentation in the US and 85 in Australia. The goal of the organization is to have 1000 representatives conducting presentations to educate the country about the impact of global warming. I'm very proud to be among that group
