I''m one of those people who has a magnet attraction to 'hopeless' causes.  I cut my teeth on the Vietnam War and have worked endlessly ever since on issues related to peace, justice, and the environment.  I worked with Beyond War and the Foundation for Global Community through out the 80's and 90's, focusingon ways to discover, live, and communicate what works for the sustainability of life.  Our family moved to Vashon Island a few years ago, and I have become involved with a local non-profit, Sustainable Vashon, focused on Peak Oil, localization, particularly as it pertains to food, and now, Climate Change.  With my awesome friend and colleague, Meg Gluckman, I recently participated in one of Al Gore's frenzied and motivating training sessions through The Climate Project (www.theclimateproject.org) in Nashville, Tennessee, and soon, after we've made ourselves hoarse practicing, we will begin offering presentations, based on Gore's slide presentation seen in "An Inconvenient Truth".  I am particularly interested in focusing on actions that will make a difference and not just make us feel good - at the individual, community, regional, and national level.  We are grateful to Sustainable Vashon (www.sustainablevashon.org) for sponsoring us and providing all kinds of support.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

You all rock!
