I was invited. I have a political work in the international trade union industry, as i call it. I've a background in the Swedish greens but in the same pace as they went left under the previous leadership i did the contrary ideological move. I'm here to see if this is an ok initiative. Reading the headlines on the list of your actions i judged both good and bad and decided not to let the best be the enemy of the good. So I'm here to see and evaluate. Basically it's a good initiative. There is a good need for this.
As a consumer we've just bought an almost brand new Toyota Diesel so minimize our contribution to the CO2 emissions. I commute with the tube even though I would save like almost an hour a day to take the car instead. I buy as much environmentally friendly groceries as I can but I’ve come to realize my moral there is 25%. I can pay 125 % of the ordinary products cost, but not more, if there’s not a very good reason, such as the fact that the quality on normal pork is horrible in Stockholm grocery stores. Of course we heat our house with a heat pump and by the electricity from a “green” provider. We also keep the temperature at 20 centigrade at home.
But I fly a lot in my work and like wine and other luxury products from all over the world. And I’m not prepared to stop eating meat and completely stop travelling.
