Somewhere in the climate briefing materials this free booklet from NOAA is recommended. I have just read it. It is a well-illustrated, splendid and careful survey of the scientific knowledge of ten years ago, e.g. "it is not known whether this recent warming trend will continue" (p.20) -- which means that it is 10 years out of date compared to the latest IPCC scientific reports. Such obsolete data is being heavily used by the denial industry, fossil fuel think tanks, and far-right bloggers to support arguments for business as usual. Why not recommend the BBC sites on climate warming which have superb graphics that reflect the latest data, in easily understood graphic form?

I don't recall that we recommend the NOAA pamplet that you mention ... please point out the place if you can. I'd welcome a link to the BBC sites you mention ...

Thanks!
