first of all thanks for your message phil, I think this might be a good place to start:)
I know a couple of people in my program who would be interested in pitching your briefinfg program to the sustainability group at our school, and depending on how quickly you're thinking of getting this out, we could be running breifings to start the next school year.
Is that a reasonable timeline?

That timeline fits well with the pace we're moving, and it's a great idea! What program are you in?
We just got word that the big climate programs at U Washington want to participate in creating the briefing -- which is awesome. That's the kind of stature and expertise that we need in order for it to be credible.
The one piece that we should be thinking about is customizing it for your locale and country. Most of it is not specific to the U.S., but we're planning an insert to customize it for use in Seattle and environs, and anyone who wants to use it should probably do the same for their region.
