So ... tonight I finally rolled out event listings. Check it out, let me know what you think. Don't be shy.
These listings could be really useful, and also a great way for people to find out about 2People -- because a really good calendar gets noticed. That's where you can help. I imported a bunch of events from Eventful, but their listings are pretty thin. We need to list lots more events. It doesn't have to be your event for you to post it to the calendar.
Here are a couple of event calendars that we could import from:
Climate USA Leapfrog calendar: this is from the KyotoAndBeyond people. They're great activists and the calendar has a bunch of good events, but it's a fancy flash thing that's not very practical. Let's get those events in here!
UW Climate Change Program. Some cool events here, if you're in the Seattle area.
These are just two examples. There's tons of great events happening, but no easy way for most people to find out about them. That's where we come in....
If you're going to do some of this importing, please reply to this post, so we don't duplicate efforts. And if you run into any snags or confusions, definitely let me know ... this is brand new code.
cheers!
Phil

Hey, Phil!
I have a Google calendar for Central Ohio - would there be any way to import those events?

Hi Tina,
That's a great idea! I could definitely write an importer for Google calendar to automate the process. I just realized that Leapfrog also displays as a Google calendar.
Anybody else know of google calendars we should import? Tina, is your calendar linked from your blog?
