Hi, what stage are you at at this point?  Are you gathering information?  Starting to write?  I'm interested in helping.

Sophie

Hi Sophie!

Your timing is exellent ... I just met with one the directors of the Study Circles Resource Center and they want to help also. One of the things we need to do is take a look at the kind of briefing materials that they develop and think about what is the best fit for what we're trying to accomplish.

I haven't started to write yet, but have been sketching out (mostly in my mind) what a reasonable structure would be. Right now I'm under a deadline to get a grant proposal out, but then will have more time for this.

What ways would you like to be involved?

Phil

Hi, Phil--

I've been sketching out a brochure of my own just to pass out around town and put in my friends' birthday card envelopes, etc.  I am not quite sure how detailed/comprehensive you're thinking about making your briefing, but I guess writing, research and maybe design would be three areas where I might be useful.

When you have time I'd be interested to find out what your ideas are so far about how long and in what form to make this briefing  as well as how and where you're thinking of disseminating it.

I'm going to check out the Study Circles Resource Center briefly tonight and in more detail later.

That sounds great. I'd love to see what you're working on. We will have some climate experts working on this with us, but it would be great to have other eyes (and pens -- keyboards?) pitching in.

I've now had a chance to look at some of the SCRC stuff ... from what I've seen, it's not as specific and detailed as what we probably need for this issue. I have in mind something that is balanced, concise, authoritative, and understandable by a layperson. That's a tall order ... if you see anything out there that looks close, let me know -- no need for us to reinvent the wheel.
