The 110th congress in Washington DC is considering a relevant bill as part of their first 100 hours agenda.  Please read the following from Climate Solutions:

Next Thursday, January 18, the House of Representatives will be voting on legislation to rollback billions in tax breaks for multinational oil companies and use the savings in a new fund that will promote clean, renewable energy alternatives-an important first step in the fight to reduce our global warming pollution and chart a new energy future for America.

  • Urge them to vote YES on HR 6 - first 100 hours legislation that cuts billions in oil company subsidies and uses the savings to reduce global warming pollution.
  • Tell them passage of this measure will enhance our energy security, improve our economy and protect our environment.

You can do more by signing our petition that will urge legislators to end tax giveaways to Big Oil corporations and use that money for new investments in clean renewable energy and to provide incentives for consumers to have more energy efficient cars, homes and appliances.
